The Hiking Hotel Regina is situated in Soprabolzano on the Renon plateau, above the South Tyrolean provincial capital of Bolzano.

Bolzano is approximately 18 km away by road; by cable car, however, it is only around 4.5 km as the crow flies, with an altitude difference of about 1,000 metres.
How far is it to the nearest train station?
Soprabolzano railway station is just 150 metres from the hotel. Bolzano main station is around 500 metres from the valley station of the Renon cable car.
How far is it to the nearest airport?
The nearest airport is in Bolzano, around 5.7 km from the valley station of the Renon cable car and approximately 23.5 km from the hotel. From there, the regional airline SkyAlps offers direct flights from more than 20 European cities. Further airports can be found in Innsbruck (approx. 135 km away) and Verona (approx. 173 km away).

The Hiking Hotel Regina can easily be reached by car as far as Soprabolzano, or by train or plane to Bolzano. From there, the Renon cable car will take you to Soprabolzano in just 11 minutes - and from the mountain station it is only a short walk of around 150 metres to the hotel.

At the Hiking Hotel Regina, the focus is primarily on active holidays and relaxation. Children are very welcome to enjoy their holiday in the outdoor infinity pool and in the garden, with consideration for other guests.

We particularly recommend the Wald-Wild-Wunder trail with eight themed stations for all ages, the Toni adventure park at Corno del Renon in summer, and the toboggan run on the Renon in winter.

It is already valid from your arrival and allows you to use all public transport in South Tyrol free of charge. In addition, you benefit from numerous included services such as guided hikes, entrance fees and a wide range of leisure activities - for a particularly convenient and varied way to explore the Renon and its surroundings.
What leisure activities are available near the hotel?
As a certified hiking hotel, the most beautiful walks and hikes begin right on the doorstep. A holiday on the Renon is also ideal for mountain bikers and Nordic walking enthusiasts. In winter, the compact ski area at Corno del Renon offers a variety of options for both beginners and more experienced skiers.
Are there guided hikes from the hotel?
Yes, our weekly programme includes 4-5 guided hikes with experienced guides. As a founding member of the leading alpine hiking hotels, we place great emphasis on quality and unforgettable mountain experiences.

Yes, e-bikes are available for hire at the hotel for an additional charge.
How far away is the nearest cable car?
The Bolzano-Soprabolzano cable car is approximately 150 metres away, while the cable car from Pemmern to Corno del Renon is around 10 km away.
Can you still travel on the narrow-gauge railway on the Renon?
Yes, the more than 100-year-old narrow-gauge railway on the Renon still operates between Soprabolzano and Collalbo and is ideal for scenic panoramic journeys.
What is the best way to reach Corno del Renon?
Take the Renon narrow-gauge railway to Collalbo and then continue with bus 166 (towards Pemmern) directly to the valley station of the Corno del Renon cable car. From there, the cable car takes you up to Cima Lago Nero at 2,070 metres, where you can begin your hike to Corno del Renon.
What services are included in the price?
Depending on your booking, the price includes the regional breakfast buffet or half board with a four-course evening meal, homemade cakes in the afternoon, a lockable parking garage, Wi-Fi, use of the wellness area, a weekly programme with 4-5 guided hikes, a hiking information corner with maps, tour suggestions and nature and cultural books, loan rucksacks and walking poles, as well as the RittenCard.
What is the hotel’s cancellation policy?
EU regulations for hotel cancellations apply. Up to 30 days before arrival, no cancellation fees are charged. From 30 to 14 days before arrival, 3 days will be charged. From 14 days before arrival, or in the event of early departure, 80% of the booked stay will be charged.
How much is the local tax?
The tourist tax amounts to €3.00 per person per night (from 14 years of age). This is not included in the total price and is charged separately on site.
What payment methods are accepted?
You may settle your bill on site by credit card, debit card or cash. A discount of 1.5% on the room rate is granted for cash payments.
Does the hotel offer travel cancellation insurance?
No, the Hiking Hotel Regina does not offer travel cancellation insurance; however, we recommend that you take out appropriate cover.

Yes, a deposit is required at the time of booking; the amount depends on the total price.
